I was asked to return to shoot, well Logan’s doggie aunt.  You see Gracie the cock-a-poo is Logan’s grandma’s dog, making Gracie Logan’s aunt. I KNOW!!  I was really excited to come back, because let’s face it, noone can have enough Logan in their life.  Then I met Gracie and decided the whole family was out of this world.

Can’t you see the relation?

I love this shot.  SUCH a kissable face.

Gracie then obliged me with tons of kisses.

I couldn’t resist another Logan shot :)

She tries to catch the ball. Tries.

Mother-Daughter-Auntie-Niece shot.  GORGEOUS GIRLS!!

The only time Gracie laid down while I was there I think.

That shot on the right? FAVORITE!

Thank you again to the C family for having me. I had such a great time hanging out again :)

Sneak Peek: Logan <3

January 12, 2010

Have you ever met one of those dogs who just make you SMILE?  That you know  brings tons of joy and laughter into their mommy and daddy’s lives?  That would be Logan, a little Cocker Spaniel who is just as gorgeous inside as she is out.

This was my absolute favorite shot of the day.

Logan loves her parents equally, but I think she’s a major Mommy’s girl.

But she sure does love her daddy.

Logan has no shortage of toys…. that’s for sure. Each one has a name, from Pink Puppy to (correct me if I’m wrong!) Front End Loader.

Or pretty pink jackets :)

Thank you to the whole C family for having me. It was a pleasure meeting you all!

Until further notice…

December 17, 2009

Due to issues at home and my health, I will not be booking any sessions until further notice. If you would like to be referred to a fabulous photographer, please e-mail me for details. I of course will be finishing any sessions I have completed or booked. Thank you, as always, to my fabulous friends and clients for your unwavering love and support. I appreciate every one’s patience and understanding. I hope you all have a fabulous holiday season.

Thank you,
Jennie

Sneak Peek: Oliver and Bella

December 8, 2009

I love love love Boston Terriers, so when I did Ernie and Louie’s session, I was super excited. When Lauren, Katie’s mom, e-mailed me about setting up a session for her Mom and two Boston Terriers, I was super excited AGAIN.  Now please, click back on Ernie and Louie’s sneak peak so you can see how similar these guys are.

This dainty, blue eyed lady is Bella.  She’s silly, coy, and knows she’s gorgeous :D

And this is Oliver. Tell me that Oliver isn’t the BEST name for a Boston Terrier.

King of the Mountain Oliver on left, and a brother sister shot on right.  Oliver is so funny. He’s silly and has TONS of personality.  He also figured out extremely fast how to get treats. Stand here? NO PROBLEM! Sit? NO PROBLEM!

I love family shots <3 I wont post the shot with Lauren and her mom, because she might get really mad, and I think she could take me ;)   Lauren SO did not want to be in the photos because she didn’t do her make up (like she needs it.)

You can see Oliver stealing the spotlight from Bella on left. I love this shot.  On the right doing a dance.  If I dance, do I get more treats??

On left, Bella proves her LOVE for the tennis balls.  On right: GORGEOUS!!

I love this shot. It’s pure Boston joy.

Thank you again to the whole D family for meeting me and braving the cold. I had a fabulous time!

Sneak Peek- Xander and Winston

November 25, 2009

Chihuahuas have always been a weak spot for me. I have always loved them, and since we lost Spike two years ago, I’ve always wanted another one.  It’s rare that I can resist squealing and kissing the face of any Chihuahua that is nearby.  When I saw these two guys, lets just say it was making me wish for another all over again.

Above is Sir Winston Alexander. Great name right? He and his brother Sir Xander Clarke are named for Mexican royalty.  I don’t think it gets much better than that. Or those ears!

This is my favorite shot of the day. This was not scripted or posed, it was just where Xander likes to be.  His mommy obliged while we were warming up in the sun, and I was so happy I captured this shot.

I KNOW.  As if the ears and the faces weren’t enough, THE COATS!

You can see how much Cate loves her babies.  They love her so much, and I must say she has done a fabulous job with them.  As a former Chi owner, I know they have the tendency to be.. head strong.  This coupled with the fact that you often do not want to discipline them because their so darn cute, they can be real butt heads.  These guys were the complete opposite. They had perfect manners, and were even okay when they were off leash!  You go Cate!

Love that bridge!

We had some really yummy light that day, and I was very happy.

I’ll finish it up with this fun shot. I love Xander’s face, the light, and the dew flying into the air.

Cate I had a fabulous time with you and your amazing Chis.  I hope you enjoy your photos as mush as I have!

Sneak Peek: Jake

November 21, 2009

I remember when I did Tara’s post and I mentioned how everything is connected.  I met Jake when I took photos at Dog Days, and Tara told me about how she sits for him alot and considers him her other fur son. When Jake’s Dad decided to book a session with us, we were both thrilled.

Our session started out a bit rocky, as we met at a dog park that is usually pretty abandoned during the week, but I’m that due to the mild weather we’ve been having, that wasn’t the case. Jake was totally distracted and I suggested we go home where there would be less for him to be distracted by.  I am SO glad I did, because the light was so much prettier at Jake and Chris’s house, and there were plenty of places for us to photograph.  Here are a few favorites from the session:

Jake is extremely inquisitive, and we had to keep calling him off of the golf course behind his house, so that his dad didn’t get a fine.

I LOVE this photo of Jake because it is such a Jake face. You’ll see in the next few pictures that Jake has alot of faces, all of which are adorable.

See what I mean?

Yummy light and funny faces make for a fab session

Jake is very active and playful, and will play with anything he can find.  His favorite of the day during the session was his drool towel, but he wasn’t above playing with his leash either.

Thank you so much for having me Jake and Chris.  I had a fabulous time meeting you both.

Sneak Peek: Briar and Abby

November 19, 2009

Gaye e-mailed me about setting up a surprise session for her husband about a month ago.  She told me they have two Wire haired Pointing Griffons.  I’m like “Brussels Griffons?” but figured out quickly that I was wrong when I googled the breed.  The WHPG are medium sized versatile hunting dogs. By versatile I mean that they retrieve, point, flush, and I think track but don’t quote me on that.  They have fabulous personalities, and have a very human quality about them in my opinion.  Never seen one?  That’s okay, because they are pretty rare pups.  I had seen one at dog park, but had never known what he was until this session came along.

If you would like to read more about this breed you can click here.

The pup on the left is Briar, and on the right is Abby.  Briar is actually Abby’s father.  She was the only girl in a pretty good sized litter, and was lucky enough that her mom and dad used their “pick” on her.  Some of her litter mates traveled as far as Europe to their new homes!

She can be seen here, riding in style with Dad :)

She has lots of energy and is a VERY sweet girl.  Abby is actually incredibly lucky to be here.  Are you ready for this? Abby broke her neck when she was a young puppy (I believe at 12 weeks old) and had to be in a body cast for a whole month.  She healed fabulously and is obviously doing amazing.

Do you see what I mean by versatile? The R family and I went to a local park and let the dogs do some swimming.  It was gorgeous there.

Do you see the family resemblance?

They are such a noble and gorgeous breed.

Mom and her babies :)

My favorite shot of the day.

Thank you so much to the whole R family and teaching me about this fabulous breed.  They are truly amazing!

Sneak Peek: Baxter and Spencer

November 18, 2009

Okay, put your drinks down, and please don’t look if you aren’t ready for some cavities from the CUTENESS OVERLOAD.   One of my favorite breeds is the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, and they are on the top of my “dogs I want to photograph” list.  So when I had a session inquiry for not just one, but TWO, one of whom is a baby   I was like NUH UH.  How lucky am I?

Spencer and Baxter are adorable and true ambassadors to the breed.  Cavaliers are steady, sweet, loving dogs, and these three were no exception.  I wanted to take them home, or maybe call up their breeder and beg for a puppy.

If you try to say you don’t want to put Baxter in your pocket and take him home I would have to say your full of it.

Can you see how much their mommy loves them?

Cavalier King Charles Spaniels. In Bow Ties.  Enough said.

And then they cuddled and I melted right there on the ground.

I want to kiss that face.

Spencer and Baxter’s dad have a British sports car called a MG.  He told me “British Car. British Dogs” and I thought PERFECT!

Spencer and Baxter totally love each other.  Baxter loves to give his big brother kisses.

Yes. I know.  I warned you about the cuteness overload.

To the whole N family, thank you so much for having me. I had a fabulous time meeting you and your amazing dogs.  They are a real treasure!

Sneak Peek: Parker and Macey

November 15, 2009

So I’ll let you in on a secret: Sometimes when a photographer meets a client they think something along the lines of “freaking sweet!”  Now don’t go all holier than thou on me togs, cause you know it’s true, haha.  When a client is dressed to the nines for our session, the dogs are adorable, and the house is a photographers dream, you can’t help but get extra excited.  That’s how it was when I met Azita and her husband Bill.  They are a gorgeous couple with an amazing house and beautiful dogs.

I know right? Your all jealous.

Love. Love. Love this shot. And that couch.

Above is Parker a gorgeous rescue from the shelter.  He’s sweet, goofy, and made me laugh throughout the whole session.

And this is Macey, the intense one in the family.  She rules over her “little” brother like Queen Elizabeth but has a silly side too.

I couldn’t let you miss out on the above shot.  Seriously, how cute?

Love that shot in the right of Macey all dressed up.  She’s such a cutie.

Bill and Azita, thank you so much for having me.  I wish the weather was better, but we’ll just have to save that day for the Art Museum!  I had a fabulous time meeting your family :)

Sneak Peek: Spencer

November 11, 2009

Puggles are SUCH cuties, and Spencer is no exception. It took a few tries, but when I finally met Spencer I was not disappointed.  I’m not sure how anyone can say no to that face. Or those ears for that matter.

We shot at the historic Olde Stone House in Washington Township NJ.  It is a beautiful location and there was lots of beautiful spots to shoot and yummy light.  As a side note Carl and I were talking about this location recently, and he told me about how he got to go and make candles here when he was in elementary school.  I’m extremely jealous. I went to SCHOOL in that town and didn’t get to go.  What the heck?!

Do you see what I mean about saying no to that face?

I <3 that one on the right.  Spencer was up for basically anything as long as there was a treat to be had.

Thank you Teri for being patient. I’m glad we were finally able to meet! Give Spencer a piece of cheese from me ;)
